Situated on the Chianti’s hillsides overlooking the town of Arezzo, a visit to the historical San Fabiano Wine Estates is a unique experience into the wine making tradition of the Counts Borghini Baldovinetti’s family.

The first document proving the existence of vineyards on the property dates back to 1452, when Francesco de’ Bacci sold a vineyard to finance the painting of the frescoes in the family Chapel by the famous painter Piero della Francesca. The property today extends over 300 hectares of vineyards and it includes five estates in the Chianti and the Vino Nobile of Montepulciano area.

The visit to the historic Tenuta di San Fabiano owned by the Counts Borghini Baldovinetti de’ Bacci is a unique experience that allows you to retrace the history of this noble family linked to the winemaking tradition of the Arezzo area. The first document proving the existence of the vineyards on the property dates back to 1452 (a sale of a vineyard in order to finance the frescoes in the family chapel of the painter Piero della Francesca in Arezzo).
The visit includes a guided tour with explanations on the history of the company, winemaking techniques, visit to the aging cellar and wine tasting chosen from the following options:
